I’m a full-time working mom, raising my kids alone, figuring it out as I go, and being honest about what that actually looks like.
There’s no perfect system behind it. Most days are busy, sometimes messy, and often just about getting through what needs to be done. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I’m also figuring out how to show up for myself, not just for everyone else.
Over time, I’ve realised that a lot of what we see online doesn’t reflect real life. The routines, the expectations, the pressure to do everything “right”, it can feel like too much. This space is where I share what actually works for me. Not perfect routines. Not ideal situations. Just simple, practical ways I manage my time, my home, and my responsibilities in a way that fits my life.

Why I Started This Blog
I don’t have a big circle, and I don’t often see my reality reflected in what’s out there. Most advice feels either too polished or too unrealistic.
Not everyone’s circumstances are the same. The reality of many single mothers isn’t always visible or talked about. We don’t always have a backup, a plan B, or someone to lean on. A lot of the time, we’re just making do with what we have, and it’s not always easy.
But whatever the reason is for where we are, that’s not really the focus. It’s about moving forward, figuring things out, and making things work as best as we can.
So I decided to create something different. A space that is simple, honest, and practical. Where other working moms might feel like: “Okay, this feels doable.” And maybe, in some small way, something shared here helps make things feel just a little bit easier.
What You’ll Find Here
This isn’t a highlight reel. You’ll find simple routines and systems for weeks when everything feels like too much, real talk on managing work, home, and kids without burning out, and honest reflections on self-care, what it actually looks like when you’re doing it alone, and time is not on your side. There’s also style, boundaries, and the small things that help you feel like a person again. And the unfiltered journey of figuring things out — including getting back into exercise at 42 after two years of just surviving.
Nothing complicated. Nothing unrealistic.
A Bit More About Me
I work full-time, manage a household, and raise my kids on a single income. That means I have to be intentional with how I use my time, my energy, and my money.
I studied Communication Sciences and Journalism, which is probably why writing has always been the way I make sense of things. I’m also a qualified TEFL teacher; something that unexpectedly became a lifeline during one of the toughest financial seasons of my life. And somewhere between school runs and spreadsheets, I somehow ended up writing and publishing a children’s book. That still surprises people. Honestly, it still surprises me too.
There’s more to all of us than the roles we carry. I don’t aim for perfection; I aim for manageable, functional, and realistic. This isn’t about building a perfect life. It’s about building one that works.
